Jose Diego Reina Utset
José Diego Reina (Cuba, 1996) is a young Cuban artist who studied at the National School of Art, “San Alejandro”, in Havana, Cuba, between 2011 and 2015. His work is characterized by a certain apprehension of spaces, which he describes with impeccable technique. This uninhabited interior space is not at all dehumanized, but rather carries the nostalgia of the memory of those who passed through it, as if they incorporated their footprints to feed the soul of that environment described with such vehemence. An image loaded with philosophical concepts that make the viewer participate in the summary of a visuality that mimics in detail the scope of photography. Among his exhibition projects, his participation in the shows of; “The red one or the blue one? No, without a scarf”, Galería Habana, 2018 and San Isidro Festival, Gallery – Studio Gorria 2019 stands out.
